Lifeguard
Effective Date: May 1st, 2025 ( Flexible start date & hours available) MUST be available May 25th - August 24th. Preferably August 25th - September 1st for partial hours.
GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Lifeguard is responsible for providing safety and supervision to all patrons and guests who use the Aquatics facilities. The position will work directly with the Aquatics Director.
Education, Experience & Requirements:
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- 16+ years of age.
Job Tasks:
- Always monitor and supervise swimmers to ensure their safety.
- Respond to all incidents requiring first aid and follow emergency action procedures.
- Actively enforce all pool rules.
- Vacuum pool bottom; empty automatic skimmers; skim bugs and other debris from the surface to prepare the pool for daily use.
- Maintain cleanliness and all amenities in pool locker rooms including changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers.
- Attend all regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-service training.
- Report any safety issues immediately to the supervisor.
- Perform administrative record keeping including sign-in/out sheets, accident/incident, and opening and closing duty reports.
- Maintain a courteous, polite, and helpful relationship with all Members and guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Aquatics Director, Aquatics Supervisors.
