Position: Banquet/Member Dining Room Bartender
Position Summary:
Providing the highest level of personalized service based on basic philosophies of Glen Oaks Country Club handbook and training manual. Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a manner most pleasing to Members and guests. Helps out in all aspects of the banquet/dining room when called upon. Displays top-notch hospitality and enthusiasm through ongoing training, utilization of resources, and good business standards to provide world calls services to all Members and their Guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follows established set-up procedures.
- Understands that a successful business accounts for every product prepared for its guest; therefore, proper tallying, obtaining Member signatures, and accurate cash balances are critical to your success.
- Prepares garnishes, mixes, and pre-mixed drinks.
- Inspects the bar before opening to ensure that adequate supplies are stocked and ready for service.
- Greets guests in a friendly manner.
- Mixes, prepares, and serves drinks according to the recipes approved by the GOCC F&B Management team.
- Reports complaints from Members or Guests to a Manager as soon as they occur.
- Maintains and cleans bar equipment.
- Maintains records of liquors and beers to ensure that proper par stock is maintained at all times. Requests additional supplies as necessary throughout the rush.
- Cleans and locks up according to trained bar procedures.
- Assists Supervisors in setting up special events and parties.
- Promotes high morale and enthusiasm among staff by providing a positive and team-oriented mentality both on and off the floor.
- Provides a high level of cooperation and communication with all allied Departments of the Club.
- Communicates with Bar Manager, ACMs, and Clubhouse Manager all Member dining experiences to help promote the best possible services throughout the Clubhouse.
- Proficient with Jonas Point of Sale, all F&B menus; including nightly and weekly features.
- Performs all other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Physical Demands:
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit; use hands and fingers to feel, handle or carry. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms; to climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch. Employee will regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds & occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Education:
- Minimum of two years experience of in bartending is preferred within an atmosphere that demands high-class service and attention to detail. Willing to train on the job as well.
Reports to: Bar Supervisor/Assistant Clubhouse Managers.
